The candle for the third week of Advent is the pink Joy Candle. It’s also known as the Shepherd’s Candle due to the joyful news that the angel told the shepherds. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior–yes, the Messiah, the Lord–has been born today in Bethlehem.”
Immanuel, God with us. Jesus, the Son of God, became human and came to earth. He experienced life and death to destroy the power of the devil. Jesus became like us to be our example. He intercedes for us as our merciful high priest.
